It is with great disappointment that Footypicks.com will not be running a Tipping competition on the AFL in 2009. Earlier in the year we were informed that the AFL has issued a licence for internet based Tipping competitions on the AFL to one website and one website alone. Rest assured that Footypicks.com did in-fact contact the AFL on this matter in an attempt to obtain permission to continue to run Tipping Competitions on the site. Unfortunately the nature of the licence to the site in question would not allow us to run a competition that performs within Footypicks.com. We respect the AFL's decision as they have acted in the best interest of their product.

Footypicks.com apologises to all our Pickers and understand that a lot of you, as we do, enjoy Tipping on the AFL, and we hope that you can continue to enjoy participating in the many other competitions we offer. Additionally we will be exhausting all possible and feasible avenues to rectify the situation for next season, so stay tuned.
